For all of you who will only settle on UCLA, UCB, or USC. What will you do if you are rejected. Will you stay another year at CC or attend another school?

I have other schools lined up like a train, baby! woo, woo!
j/k, i usually have other options/back up plans in place.

edited to add: I'm so done with cc at this point. what am I gonna do there, earn another aa? lolo... If I don't get into to one of my dream schools, too bad, but it is still time to move on. :)

Go to UCR.

They give out money like it grows on trees.

cry and cut myself /emo.

haha my parents said if I didnt get into somewhere for next fall that they would makie me come home after going to ccc in beautiful santa barbara for the last 2.5 years(aka stop paying my rent and food).... luckily I have gotten in ucsb, ucd, and ucsc so I dont have to ever think about going to a ccc close to home!!!

Jump off the tallest building at my CCC.

lol i am not applying to any of those top schools but i thinkt he same question applies to the rest of us cc'ers as well. i have a couple of schools lined up (ou and texas tech) just in case i dont get into one of my top choices (smu and bu).

slit my wrists

Why must all these topics be about Cali schools :(

yeah, i always feel left out

it should be only the ivies, aite, get it straight, or northeastern and midwestern schools

u cali ppl tryin to dominate the boards lol :)

Cali > *.

Just kidding. We all know that the east coast has the best universities.

discussion about the UC's completely dominates the transfer board. I dont know why I visit it.

......cause they are interesting lol. I agree with bball87 a lot of california transfers, or, transfer students particularly from california, aware of such a site as CC.

I agree. The majority of posts are UC related. CC should create a UC transfer thread...

Ive given alot of thought to this... there is really many way to go at it really... jump in front of a bus.... jump off of a building... the conclusion i have come to is im gona be doing some sort of jumping.... just dont know which one yet!!! Good luck everyone!!!

That's rather grim. Look, it could be worse. We could be applying the first go round as freshman... I never want to relive that.

Wow, tncpauld, your parents are supporting you to be away at a CC? You're lucky!

yeah thats surprising someone would move away to go to a CC. i went to a CCC for a couple weeks SRJC and it was the first CCC ive heard that had on campus housing. but the commute of almost 1 1/2 hrs everyday was too far, so i went to a CCC closer to home

appeal....what else can i do?

In a way, I am technically "away" from home and attending a CCC. I live in Orange County where I could have gone to Irvine Valley College or Saddleback College (which I have in fact for a couple months), but instead I chose to live with my grandparents in West L.A. to attend Santa Monica College. Let me tell you, I have no regrets about my decision. I think I've become more responsible by living on my own at the age of 18/19 and I even got a little taste of the college life.
