I have seen these posts for the last two years and they have gone either way.
Some have reported acceptances after fin-aid contacts and others not.
Having said that, being contacted by email this late is a bit unusual as most decisions have been made by admissions already.
I'd say a good sign:)

tiversx: It's not a bad sign if you weren't asked for a document because it just means you turned everything in. I received one letter about financial aid (dated March 16), even though I had already turned in the document (they were asking for my personal W2/tax forms, I believe). We resent it anyway, but I've already gotten in a few other places (and received Fin Aid) and they didn't ask for any extra/missing forms.

Just got accepted to Carnegie Mellon and I never was asked for documents.

Last week (Thurs.) they wanted more financial aid info. The forms had been submitted well before the due date. I haven't heard from any other school so maybe the forms were misplaced. We'll know by next week if it's a good sign or not.

I got an email on the 15th saying that I didn't complete my Princeton Fin Aid app, and that even though the deadline passed I could still apply or something. I'm hoping it's a good sign; not just one the possibles and sent over to make sure everything's done in time??? Crosses fingers

they dont me i could still apply, but it would DELAY the application.

fortunately i don't need it, and everything is all well and good.

it's also good if you had a finaid problem, it doesn't affect admissions. could you imagine getting rejected because you didn't fill a finaid thing out?

I did end up getting in and im going to be attending

i just wanted to say this for future students class 2011 and beyond
