Giani lives in Wales

Yes....I * love* Wales...all of GB, in fact.

Caernarfon castle was nothing short of incredible...so beautiful, with the sea on one side (and there was a brilliant sunset the day we were there)...

Portmeirion was a surprise. It looked more like a Mediterranean village, maybe southern France or northern Italy: http://www.portmeirion-village.com/en/index.php

EDIT: You live in Wales?! How did I miss that? I'm going to be in GB for 4 months next year...getting a BritRail pass so I can go all over....can't wait...wishes it were Jan. 26th

dnm you astrix - I knew you would pick that up! I seriously knew it - I was about to post - "clue" next to it. pfft ;)

hey, why do you say Wales?

hey Keb - this should be a question for the "Fun and Games" post but wtheck - Wales or Scotland?

Is "Cymru" better? =)

Haha, Wales, of course
(But I love Scotland, too)

edit: oops, did i say I live in Wales? when? (sulks) :p

WOW THIS IS SO AWESOME. I FEEL LIKE A VERITABLE....I DUNNO. SOMETHING

And I was right about you being in Europe too.

Anyway, I gotta finish stuff so I'm disconnecting for good. And you needn't be so secretive now!

But like, wow

oops, did i say I live in Wales? when?

Kebree - your anglophilia is amazing! Wales is gorgeous. Do you know much about the politics?

Let's say I would live in Wales before I would live in Scotland...but my family's half-Scottish and our ancestral castle is on Loch Fyne. (It's a pile of rubble now, though :()

Edit: No, I don't know too much...just some basic things about the British system...I'm planning on doing a crash self-study-via-books-and-the-internet course on GB/Irish politics during the break before I leave (Jan 26, see below).

I'm excited for you - I'm also travelling around then. Half-Scottish that's quite interesting! I forget, what languages do you speak again? La francaise? oui, non?

I did my main essay for Princeton on several experiences from travelling in GB...(and it doesn't sound "elitist" because of the places we were, lol)
haha, we had something funny happen in Snowdonia: I met an actual witch for the first time....my mom and I were "under orders" from my uncle to find a well-known walking stick-maker (random, I know) and got kind of lost in the backroads...then the road we were on dead-ended at a gate enclosing a sheep fold. Fortunately, a woman pulled up behind us an told us that we had (miraculously) ended up at the right place..she was actually the man's wife. It was only after she took us on a tour of her house--after seeing the strange symbols, candles, and animal-bone art--that we realized something was a little unusual ;) She had a whole room upstairs where she kept drawers full of animal fur/skeletons, vials of flower extract, and jars of things I really didn't want to identify.

That is such a vivid memory, despite (or maybe because of, lol) the fact that I was ten years old.

Oui--seulement un peu malheureusement =(

my gosh! what a story (promise me you'll think about that book, kay?)

haha, okay...that would almost be too much fun to write..

Now that I think of it...gianievve is pretty mysterious too.
And I'm still confused...DO you live in Wales?

Unless she's leading us on (which I doubt), she does. How cool. I wonder where in Wales, though...

Oh I forgot all about the initial point of this thread.
If I got in I would definitely get a orange wardrobe, and poster, and stationery, and mugs, and pencils and... :)

I think I'd scream a lot and run around my house, then beam for a couple of days and tell everyone I see (ohh we should make Tshirts!)

I love the t-shirt idea.....what should we put on them? Ideas, anyone?

because "CC Tigers '09" = really boring

or maybe:

Mission: Admission Accomplished!
The Princetonians of CC Unite

I'm not feeling too creative right now, heh...

Haha, I like Mission: Admission. That just sounds cool. It's my Admission Mission. Put yo' keys in the ignition...yeah, bad song. chuckle

And I just had to get "Princetonians" in there..the coolest word ever....
