If you could give advice to your 8th grade self?

My counselors are basically throwing the mic in my hand during the local middle school's "High School Tour" day. Any Ideas on to what you would like to tell yourself? I'm super happy they picked me out of the whole high school to speak. I'm not overwhelmed at all but some fresh ideas wouldn't be too bad. Thanks... it's tomorrow so don't wait too long to reply :!!

don’t be afraid of trying new things–join clubs, activities, etc.

challenge yourself–don’t shy away from the “hard” classes

high school is what you make of it–if you are determined to have a good four years, you will find a way

trust your instincts–if peers are doing something that feels wrong to you, don’t do it too

Sign up for honors classes and quit eating French fries every day after school.

@bodangles hey fun fact… I work at Bojangles. (if that’s what your username is named after haha)

Start working hard in middle school and challenge yourself in high school. Tell some anecdotes that support your points. I’ve done something similar before and this is what I’ve done.

Try during 9th grade.

Nothing. And if I had any time travelling powers, I would use them for more interesting things than giving myself advice.

No ragrets.

@SimplyOverdone I actually didn’t know about that restaurant until after I came upon the nickname, but now I wish they had them where I live :P

Update: The presentation was awesome. First I asked them to raise their hand if they wanted to go to college. Then after most did so I talked about how freshman year was my fav so far and how you should get involved, get good grades, and take advantage of our school being a small school since you can form relationships with the staff. It was awesome. Thanks everyone who gave me some input I took everyone’s tips into consideration. NO RAGRETS
