I think it’s so ridiculous for you to want to go to college and pay more for a name. It doesn’t matter. Say you want to be a doctor or whatever, you’re looking for a job, and there’s two people applying. You’re one of them who’s in debt from buying a name like NYU just so it’ll look good. And then there’s the hard worker who is amazing at everything, got his degree from Po Dunk University, and is the best doctor on the planet. Who do you think they’ll pick?

Compromising happiness just to pay for a name is ridiculous, I’m sorry. I live about two hours away from Stanford, and all of it’s disgustingly overrated.

What are your stats?

How much will your parents pay each year?

What else do you want in a school?

CUNY! CUNY Macaulay in a millisecond! (it was my first choice)

NYU is terrible for financial aid. If you plan on going on to grad/med/law school, it’s a terrible choice… but they sometimes give great merit aid to excellent students. That’s a different story. It’s a good school with name recognition, but it is def. not worth its price. (Actually, no school IMHO is worth 50 grand a year…)

New School… I’m probably going to be a science major/premed, so it’s not my fit.

Anyway I’m probably going to Fordham :P

(unless Macaulay Hunter takes me off their waitlist or NYU CAS decides to give me a better fin.aid package)
