if you haven't gotten a letter of admissions/rejection, is that a bad thing? I was hoping to get a scholarship, and I applied around December 6. However, I haven't heard back yet, and I'm starting to get a little worried. It seems like most people (esp. those with the big scholarships) have already received their letters.

My SATs are a bit low (760 M, 630 V, 630 W), but my extracurriculars (300+ hrs of community service, state president of the Technology Student Association, etc.) really portray me as a well-rounded person, and I don't think Case was a particular reach for me or anything.

I submitted everything except for the supplemental before 12/1, and I still haven't heard anything. My supplemental was sent in around 1/15. My SAT's are in the same range as yours, my GPA is a 3.9UW, 4.1W, 550 hours of volunteering, and good recommendations. I didn't think of Case as a reach, but more as a good, reasonably safe school. Hm...

thats weird i applied by 12/1 for the PPSP
i found out i got in at the end of feb. (along with a trustee scholarship), and i found out i got rejected from PPSP a week after that

I haven't heard yet either and I have good stats. However, I did apply like right at the deadline, 1/15, so I'm guessing that they look at applications according to when they were received.

When i applied back in 2002 i didn't hear back from case until April. I'm pretty sure they send acceptance letters in April unless you applied early decisions or for a special program like PPSP.
So i wound't worry

I applied before November...fine SAT's...valedictorian in a fairly large graduating class at a competitive high school...so much extracurricular stuff that i dont have time to sleep...haven't heard a thing... don't worry...i think that if you didn't apply early action/decision (or not sure what options case has), you won't hear until late March or early April...because if that is not the case, then i am really worried... i also thought case was a good match school for me...

...oh applied for biomedical engineering in case that's a factor...

Either way Case is "one door admissions" in other words all majors are open to you. I suspect that means that your prospective major has no impact on the admissions process.

haha...just got my acceptance letter today...kinda weird...but anyway yea i was pleasantly surprised with the amount of scholarship money that i was offered even though i really just want to go to Pitt... i'm sure everyone's acceptance letters will be coming soon!!
