If you send AP scores to one UC should they all receive them?

DS2 sent junior year scores to UC Berkeley and has SIR’d at UCSD.Senior AP test scores are slated to go to Berkeley as well on the 1 freebie send. Do we also need to send the scores specifically to UCSD or will UCSD get them because they were sent to UCB? They spell this out clearer for the SAT but it’s more vague on the AP testing. Thank you!

If DS2 did not select UCSD for the free AP score report when filling out the AP test booklet in May, then you would have to request they be sent specifically to UCSD. There is no need to send AP scores prior to the end of Senior year and to multiple campuses. Only the campus where the student matriculates to in the Fall needs the official score report.

Thank you for the speedy reply! We’re on it.

Any thought on the fact that senior AP scores are coming out July 5th? Send the soph/junior year scores now and then send again when the senior AP scores comes out? Timing is so tight. Why do they do that?

I believe if you request the AP scores to be sent now, they will hold the score report until the Senior AP scores are available to be sent all together? You might want to call College Board to confirm.

The schools are used to the timeline.

Why did you send before SIRing?

On the APs he took year 2 and 3 - he put down Berkeley for the one free send. My assumption was that like the SAT if you sent your AP’s it got sent to all UCs. That was wrong evidently. I also assumed that S2 had marked down his one free send for his senior scores to Berkeley. But as it turned out he’d actually marked UCSD as he’d already been rejected from UCB. So everything would have turned out in the end I think. But to be certain I sent another set as it’s only $15. Seems like I was more on top of all this for S1. Must be getting old!
