<p>Can anyone provide info, site to learn more about USNA IGEP (Immediate Graduate Education Program @ Monterrey or AF Tech)</p>

<p>I've never heard about IGEP, but there is VGEP.</p>

<p>A lot of people going to the academy get wrapped around getting one of the few slots offered for graduate education. It should not be a factor which changes your mind about going to one of the academies. The Marine Corps/Navy offer so many programs/ tuition assistance once you are in the fleet that if you do not get a masters then it is your own fault. Dont get me wrong, being selected for one of the graduate programs straight out of the academy is a huge accomplishment and very prestigious, but if your goal is to obtain a masters or even PhD then there are many opportunities to do it in the fleet with all of the online universities and universities with classrooms on base. Currently, tuition assistance gives $250 per semester credit hour up to $4,500 per fiscal year. This is enough to attend 6 online graduate level classes per year, which is a good course load when combined with work. In addition, starting in august of 2009, the GI bill will be available to academy graduates, which can be used for your graduate degree.</p>

<p>VGEP is a very difficult program to get, and you not only have to be top of your class at the academy, but must be able to validate enough classes to fullfill your graduation requirement when you take placement tests at the beginning of plebe summer.</p>
