Hey guys:
I took journeys- and it was the most awesome IHUM. The professors were unbelieveable-- you dont get better than Yearley and Wolff. Theyve been the best set of profs i've had so far at Stanford.

oh nooo. i wish you were here before we made our decisions

YAY!! i put journeys as my first choice! hope i get it.

knock on wood.

Haha.
Not only did it have the best professors, it also had the most interesting [and the least taxing] reading. In fact, lectures were so good, that the 150-odd students in the class clapped after each lecture.
Also, don't worry-- you can always try and petition of your IHUM course once you get here. Its not guaranteed that you'll get your new first choice. But it may be worth it. Journeys may be worth it.

hey smac! Did any of your friends take Literature of Crisis? What did they think of it?

all i can say is TAKE VISIONS OF MORTALITY!

i didn't listen and I regret it to this day

I also took the Crisis one. That sounded like the most practical Ihum class on the list. It might help save me out of crisis situations in the future.

haha :D I liked the required reading for that class. Voltaire! Shakespeare! Virgil! I hope I get it.

oh, I put mortality as my first, crisis as my second, and journeys as my third--I think--so it sounds like they're all good...?

I really like visions of mortality and i hope i get it...

signifyingnothing-
wow I put exactly the same order as you....I really hope I get mortality as well..it sounds so interesting..
