I’m a finalist for Illinois Tech’s Crown Scholarship and I’m visiting for the scholarship weekend also to conduct my interview. I’m not sure what to expect for the interview, should I prepare a portfolio of my art and bring my portfolio, or is this over kill? Is the discussion casual or strictly professional, like a job interview?
I would appreciate any insight to what the interview for the scholarship is like, and also what the scholarship weekend is like in general.

@alyfun321 - Go ahead and bring the portfolio. The interviews are not terribly formal but if you have the portfolio with you, you can choose at the time of the interview if it is appropriate to show it.
I have been doing the interviews for many years for Camras and for Duchossois for the past 6 years and what I care about most is whether the student can hold a conversation and is a good communicator. The best interviews are when the student has questions for me and impresses me with their enthusiasm.
