I'll be taking all honor courses, AP Statistics, and Pre-Calc; is this too much for a sophomore?

I’ll start off with the fact I’m a freshman right now, but I’m supposed to be in 8th grade. My parents push me very hard and I believe my class rank is in the top 20… somewhere around there, I forget.
But anyways, my teacher recommended that I take Pre-Calc as well as AP Stat in sophomore year. AP Stat is for seniors in my high school or for juniors, it’s an honor course, Pre-Calc is an honor course for sophomores or a normal course for juniors. I recently moved here, so I don’t know anyone which can give me advice on what to do.
This year, I also took all the honor courses avaliable, and next year I will be doing that as well. My sophomore year courses should be: Gym, Band, Honors German 4, Pre-Calc, AP Stat, International History Honors, Honors Chemistry, English 2 Honors.
I’ll also be trying out for the volleyball team, and as back-ups, the tennis and soccer team. I’ve been playing the three sports for 5 years each and I’m fairly good at all of them, so I’m basically guarenteed to get into at least one team. I started my own club and we have a major fundraiser planned next year. I also joined a club that spreads awareness about cancer.
Without a study hall and with the courses and extracurriculars, out of personal experience, is this too much?

A lot of the ‘is this too much’ question depends on the difficulty of your school’s courses. Is there anyone you can ask about the homework loads for these classes? Are any of these classes known for being extremely hard? Another factor is how much (and how long) the sports teams practice. Try asking teachers or other students to find out how much your extracurriculars will take away from your after school time.

Last year, as a freshman, I took what could be considered five honors level courses, a fall sport, a year-round sport and academic team. Personally, I found my schedule to be feasible, considering I had been balancing a similar schedule in the past.

As I said in my first paragraph, your difficulty of your schedule comes out of many factors: how frequently your sports team practices, how long your sport practices last, how hard classes are at your school, which classes are very homework heavy, how much time you’ll need to spend on your fundraiser, if you have any quarter/semester long projects, etc.

If you need clarification on anything I said, feel free to ask.

I asked my teacher, and she said it shouldn’t be too hard for me, but I much rather ask someone that isn’t a teacher. I don’t know any upperclassmen that took both at the same time, it’s apparently really rare to be allowed to take AP courses as a sophomore.
All sports practice daily, at least one competition a week (can be up to 2 hours away), and practices/competitions are 2 hours long. (For competitions, that’s not including time coming back.)
Your schedule sounds hectic. I actually didn’t take another sport this year, other than volleyball, and I only have 2 clubs.
So first things first, I should find someone who went through a schedule like mine. Okay. ;-;

Idk I’m taking Calc BC and Stats as a sophomore and it isn’t too bad but then again, math is what I’m good at.
I know what it’s like to have a busy load, and I can relate to your struggle. Honestly, I would give it a try. You might surprise yourself by being able to adjust to it with a lot more ease than you expected.

I also second Faultystart’s point about varying rigor.

Idk, seems similar to what I did in sophomore year, and I got excellent grades that year. Depends on your particular school.

Why would the opinions of other kids online, kids who don’t know you or your capabilities or what the coursework in your school entails, be more important than those of your teachers-- who know all that?

I think my teacher would be a bit biased and made it seem easier than it actually was to get me to do it. Also, she didn’t do a schedule like mine, people on here did.

Math is not my strongest or weakest point. I suppose I’ll go through with this schedule.
Thank you. ^^

What does your teacher have to gain by admitting someone who will struggle?
