Would I have a decent chance of getting into Stanford, Brown, Rice, Duke, USC, WUST, Bowdoin, Amherst, Colgate, Dartmouth, or any other top university or liberal arts college?

Plenty of E.C.s, about 500 total ours of EC's per year.
Started my own club for mentoring and emotionally supporting troubled teens.
I have also had to overcome an immense amount of obstacles, so writing a kickass essay will not be a problem at all.
Work experience: I work 16 hours per week at a local casino.
SAT/ACT: 1900/27 -- I know my scores are far from excellent, however, I firmly believe that these tests do not accurately measure my intellectual and cognitive potential.

Besides the SAT/ACT, I’d say “Ivy” and you would be at the top of any school’s wish list… unfortunately, the standardized test scores are nowhere near those top schools; if you’re keeping it, you need to go for a school that takes a holistic approach (as in look at every factor equally, which could cancel out your SAT/ACT)

really focus on Amherst, Bowdoin, Dartmouth, etc… those are the schools that are most likely going to knock SAT’s out of the picture and look at all your other great credentials… hope this helps!

Please chance me!!

Regardless of whether it is an accurate reflection of your “potential” or not, it is a crucial element to your application. If you still have the opportunity, retake these because they are far and away your biggest hindrance from getting into top schools. Otherwise, as a 1st-gen valedictorian Hispanic you look really good for top schools.
