My daughter is trying to select a final school to apply to. She is strong in vocal music and has high gpa (4.0), 32 ACT and 2090 SAT. Anyone have insight to any of these schools and their vocal music programs. Also, observations on merit aid from any of them.

Wittenberg has a good music program and exceptionally good merit aid. Your daughter's stats would automatically qualify her for a Matthies Scholarship (starting at $14,000/yr) just by filling out the Common App. She would most likely be invited to participate in their Provost Scholarship competition consisting of an interview with a professor and an on-campus essay. Provost Scholars have their awards increased to at least $16,000/yr and the top 10% of candidates are considered for full-tuition Smith Scholarships (I believe 5 were awarded my daughter's year).
My daughter was favorably impressed by the professors she met and the friendliness of the student body. English, Creative Writing, Biology (with a surprisingly strong Marine Biology focus as well as premed) and East Asian Studies seem to be particularly impressive. This was my daughter's safety school and she actually felt bad turning it down for her first choice school.

M...mom, where did your daughter wind up going? And what year did she apply to Witt?

This info is helpful.
