Illinois psae workeys exam 2011
day 2
discuss...

who cares?

That test was easy. I felt so smart. All the teachers told us that it’s nothing but a big kid ISAT test. However, I think Illinois shouldn’t dumb it down just to make money

@actisforme

yo mama cares

Realiestchick08, I am just curious how having an easy test makes the state money? Thanks. (I am not trying to come off as hostile).

you get funding depending on how your school scores
on the test.

^So schools scoring well on a test only in Illinois gives the state more money? I am entirely confused. Please elaborate.

The PSAE is an achievement test…kinda like a high school benchmark. So if Illinois dumbs the test down, we all pass. The only thing the national government sees is the average score. If they see we’re doing well. The state will get more money to “improve education”. Nowadays test are like a money gold mine. All they care about is the scores.

It was insulting. Every math question was at a 3rd grade level.

that one about the photographer really stumped me, 5 groomsmen, 5 bridesmaids, a groom and a bride, how many people in the picture. Also, one on science a man digs a hole 6 feet deep, water is 1 feet deep on the bottom, where is the water line. biggest joke a test ever

I actually found it maddening that during the ACT everyone is stressed because they don’t have enough time, and during the workkeys, I was annoyed because I had 30 minutes to spare after every test.
