ILR Cirriculum Question (junior/senior yrs)

I keep forgetting...

ILR Electives = 40 (16 can be outside ILR but must be approved by ILR?)
General Electives = 18 (doesn't need approval)

Correct?
That means 34 credits (18+16) can be non-ILR?

<a href="http://www.ilr.cornell.edu/studentservices/curriculum/requirements/advElectives/%5B/url%5D">http://www.ilr.cornell.edu/studentservices/curriculum/requirements/advElectives/</a></p>

You need 40 "advanced ILR electives". 24 of them can be any ILR class that isn't an introductory course, and 16 can be approved classes from other colleges, advanced mathematics or foreign languages. The "general elective" suggestion is just put on the website to indiciate that you will need 120 credits to graduate, and consist of whatever courses you want to take (ILR requirements only add up to 80).

Also..make sure you fulfill the advanced requirements (advanced writing, labor policy, economic policy). There is a list on the website of classes in each category.

Do International and Comparative Labor, Labor History, Economic Policy count toward the 24? Or are they individual requirements?

I understand completely now. Thanks.

they can count towards the 24 if you take them within ILR. there are also lists of approved courses from other colleges (on the website above), which count towards the 40 "advanced credits", but not towards the 24 within ILR.
