That’s very interesting. I was told that the ILR admissions people try to weed out the applicants who are really more interested in an undergrad business school and are not really interested in the ILR subject matter. Now I’m off to go google that website!
What do you guys think is better for business/management? Villanova School of Business or Bucknell School of Management? Likely for courses in finance and accounting. Both seem to be very different in style, and Villanova is #24 in Bloomberg and Bucknell isn’t ranked (probably not accredited yet). Not sure what to make of it.
My S is in the same situation. We could use the money savings, but would not want him to go to WCC. He is choosing between Bing, Syracuse and Villanova. I want him in a place that he could do four years if need be. He really wants to be at ILR and seems like an ideal fit. We are thinking make the most of the first year experience by going to a rigorous school , honing his studying skills and if he decides to stay be ultimately happy.
In my completely unscientific opinion, I would pick Villanova over Bucknell.
Also, easier to travel to Villanova on the train, assuming you live along the Amtrak line, but that is not an important reason to choose one over the other.
It would seem like a natural transition, but if something goes awry he wouldn’t want to do four years at Binghamton. We will see the open house for accepted student at Bing is this Sunday. He might change his mind.
I imagine that there are a ton of students keen to go to Cornell after the first year at Binghamton. I guess then Binghamton gets an influx of BCC students to take their place. Not quite a fair exchange lol! If your son went to Villanova he could Penn for the 2nd year.
