Ok, so I just checked over my supplement for Cornell and realized that in the last paragraph I said

Cornells Industrial Labor and Relations instead of

Cornell's Industrial and Labor Relations

How bad is that?

I actually LOLed when I read that…

um…depends how lenient the reader is. From what I heard ILR profs read your app too. If the prof really loves the school and is an alumni there…etc etc etc, he/she may not look favourably at your essay

I said this twice so I don’t think my chances at Cornell are really looking too bright at the moment

I doubt it will be considered that terrible a mistake.

You at least wrote the correct school on your essay. Admissions officers know that applicants are human.

You could call up admissions and just tell them that you noticed you made a mistake in the name of the school and see if they can put a note on your application that you, at least, caught the mistakes.

Now - that could backfire as the error isn’t that obvious. Someone reading quickly, who sees ILR’s full name written all the time, might skim over it and not even notice.

But, I’d try calling admissions if I were you just to be safe. People make mistakes. They know this.
