um... i was just asking for reassurance, since there is no information in cornell's own website.

its official. it is part of suny: SUNY: Complete Campus List

you're an idiot. That's official.

Oh no! They're also listed at this website: Cornell University - Academics - Colleges, Schools, and Faculties

In practice, there's absolutely no difference in the student experience to being part of a Cornell statutory college or Cornell endowed college. You socially and academically interact with students across the whole university, they have similarly rigorous academic and admissions standards, and when you graduate, employers and grad schools either don't know or don't care where the money financing your education came from. ILR, the Ag School, and Hum Ec are administered by the University, and have their own reputations that are quite set aside from the SUNY system.

there is no reason to get defensive and start insulting people. I posted the link because people said that it was not part of SUNY, but it apparently is.

On the other hand, thanks for the input rendeli.

You've ignored everything that people have said. You came seeking information, we gave you plenty of information, and then you shrugged it off as worthless ... my point wasn't to insult you, rather to state a fact.

These schools are definitely affiliated with SUNY, as is Cornell on a larger level since it is the land grand college of New York State...and the [higher] educational arm of NYS is SUNY. But affiliation with SUNY is different from being a SUNY school. As I have said before, courts have already ruled that students and staff of these schools are students and staff of Cornell University, not the State University of New York! I really don't know what all the fuss is about on this thread.

i didnt shrug off any information; i only posted the link to inform others because i found this new information/link that i had not seen before.

but we explained it all anyways. By just going out and saying "its official. it is part of suny", I wonder if you read a single word of what people have been talking about.

oy...it's NOT SUNY!!! As a CALS Ambassador I've had to field this question at many admissions info panels and I am always backed up by an admissions officer.

Yes...we receive money from NYS but we are NOT a SUNY school...if we were...we'd be back a heck of a lot less in tution and it would say SUNY on our diploma....oy

It's NOT SUNY. How many times are you going to ask this question? And why do you sound so insecure about this?
