I was investigating the ILR website and read through a lot of the school's course offerings, students' post-graduation plans, and general information and it seemed to focus a lot on collective bargaining, labor unions and the like. I want to pursue Pre-law (Corporate), and International Relations. Is this the school for me? I've heard that a lot of kids go onto to Law school that attend ILR school... but I didn't get that vibe from their website.

Advice?

ILR would be hard to get in if you are not resident of NY State…

my dd is freshman and she plans on going to law school after graduate. At ILR you can pretty much concentrate on anything not just labor/union. @ poposal123 my dd is fresh ambassador/student counsel Rep. and she works in admission/interview for prospective student.I can’t speak for other colleges in Cornell but ILR admission committees emphasis on “FIT” the most. It dose not matter whether you are in state or out, just make sure that your essay show who you are and why you want to be at ILR. I have notice many student applying to ILR due to believed that ILR is easier to get admit to compare to other colleges but admission committees can easily notice that. Good luck :)
