Cornell ILR Transfer. I CHANCE BACK!!

Please chance me... I'm planning on transferring to Cornell's ILR school. I am currently a freshman at a top 25 LAC.

College GPA: 3.75

HS GPA (Jr/Sr years): 4.0 weighted

ECs in college: part of 4 intramural sport teams, entrepreneurship club, investment club, debate team, in the middle of starting a website business, some charity, and a couple more clubs that don't really relate.

Going to have pretty good recs

Thanks

i wasn’t aware there was more than one? I am pretty sure you just apply to the ILR school and once admitted, you take the ILR courses plus electives in whatever area you’d like to specialize in, whether it be politics, law, business, HR, etc…

makes sense; however, I am aware of the GTs that are inputted in the acceptance rate for ILR but still am very interested in ILR. I am not applying to Cornell for the name, I already go to a top 25 LAC that can get me a high salary job or into any graduate school. I am interested in learning about Industrial and Labor Relations because that is what fascinates me. I could be studying AEM at my current college, or any college for that matter. So, now that we have clarified, can anyone tell me my chances?

GPA looks good. Write the hell out of your essays and kill your interview 'cause that’s what really seems to matter for ILR. Sounds like your reasons are really good, so I’d focus on elucidating them really well in your essays. A point: I applied to ILR on the deadline for Fall 10 Transfer and they ultimately did not review my full app until quite late in the game, and I think that’s one of the main reasons I received a GT for the coming spring (met my requirements and was accepted outright). If you can finish things early, it would not hurt you in the least. I’d be happy to answer any questions you have about my experience with applying.

great, thank you. I sent you a personal message with a couple more questions.
