ILR put more emphasis on SAT or ESSAY?

HI everyone~

I applied to ILR school for Early Decision.
However, my problem is that my SAT scores are only 2000 (V:580 M:730 W:690).

I did my best in writing essays and have some internships at ministry of Labor. Also doing independent researuch on labor issues and sent them the summary of it as additional info to Cornell along with my resume.

So my question is... ILR put more emphasis on SAT or ESSAY????

Also! do they even consider writing scores? since my writing scores are not so bad......

ILR will likely put more emphasis on essay ... but I hate to say most essays people submit are really crappy (and they don't know it). A minimum of 3-4 people will read each essay.

SAT verbal and writing scores are averaged, they'd see a 635 for you.

Is that really true? They average the CR and W? Does that apply for all the colleges at Cornell? Where did you hear this from?

how does ilr deal with act subscores from different tests? do they superscore?

gomestar works in the ILR admissions office (or so I think he does). And essays are definitely more important.

I ONLY sent in my ACT to ILR. My sat's were a 2150, which I was very happy with, but then I got poor scores on my SAT II's (620-720's on all three) and ILR's policy is that they will take the ACT in place of the SAT and SAT II's. My ACT score is a 32, I was wondering if that will give me a good shot and if sending in just my ACT will have an adverse affect on my application. thanks.
