Hey everyone, I am currently a junior in high school, and I'm hoping to get some advice from the CC community.

The my final goal for college is to obtain a MD and an MBA, but I have a lot of questions on how to get there.

1) Is it better to enter a BS/MD program then go back to get my MBA?

or

get my BS then enter a MD/MBA program?

2) What should I major/minor or double major in during undergrad to set myself up for my career path?

Any previous experience from people or advice would be greatly appreciated!

(If you have any questions please ask, and I will answer them as promptly as possible)

PM me if you wish.

Im joining the NBA

I would double major in Bio and Business as an undergrad, and then go the MD/MBA route. It will save you time and will definitely give you a better undergrad business education.

If you go the BS/MD route and then try to go back for an MBA it will be much harder, so save yourself time and trouble and find an awesome undergraduate university with good business and science programs and double major :)

If you want an MD/MBA I recommend you look at the Union/Albany program which allows you to get a BS/MD/MBA in eight years.

One Proud Korean thanks a lot, thats plan B for me.

Smart.cookie, I like that plan, I’m thinking to go to like Duke or Upenn for undergrad, then I can jump into their MD/MBA program at those universities.

Schrzto, I will take a look at that, I didn’t know that there was a BS/MD/MBA program ever… haha

Boston University also lets you do BA/MD/MBA in 8 years. You would just apply for the BA/MD and then apply for the MBA part later if I believe and just add a year to the 7 BA/MD years.

hmmm, that would be time saving, but doesn’t it seem a bit rushed?

Like I think doing my 4 year undergrad and getting a double major with ease followed by an md/mba program would be nice…
