I'm A Sophmore That's Interested

I know that I'm looking way ahead, but I'm curious as to whether I could get in and whether I could get scholarships with these stats:
SAT II Math 800
SAT II Physics 800
AP Calc BC In 9th grade. (And taking non college credit MVC and Diff-EQ now)
3.8 GPA. (Unweighted, and approximate)
Around 14 AP Credits.
(Don't know SAT Score Yet)
200 Service Hours

Lots of extra curricular.

Information on the under-grad EE and computational finance programs would be nice too.

Um, is anyone going to reply?

You would be well qualified, no guarantees either about getting in or scholarships. Some schools within CMU are harder than others. You can see some statistics at [Admission Statistics](<a href=“Home - Computing Services - Office of the CIO - Carnegie Mellon University”>Home - Computing Services - Office of the CIO - Carnegie Mellon University)

I’m a sophomore too and your stats are looking a lot better than mine.

thanks…
any info on the programs, though?

at CMU, EE (called ECE) is kind of special in that you can get into CIT (the school its within) but not get into ECE. Its CMU’s second (?) hardest program to get into.

Does CMU have a College of Arts and Sciences?

CMU overall isn’t too tough to get into, I’m currently a sophmore here and my basic stats were 3.7 unweighted GPA, and 2100 SAT. I applied to the Mellon College of Science, got in, and then transferred to the Tepper School of Business. If you want a bit of advice, if the program you want to do is tough to get into for CMU, just apply to one of the easier programs, such as Mellon College of Science, work hard for a semester, and then you can easily transfer internally between the different schools.

Also, as far as I know, you can’t directly apply to the Comp. Finance program but don’t quote me on that, and you have to apply for the major once you are already in the school. It is a interdisciplinary program between the Mellon College of Science and the Tepper School Of Business.
