I'm a sophomore in HS - What can I do now to help my chances of getting into CMC?

As of now, I’m only a sophomore in High School. I’ve looked at loads of different colleges, but I don’t have a top choice. I’m interested in going into International Relations.
However, Claremont McKenna definitely stands out on my (extremely long) list of colleges because of its small class sizes, top-rated IR program, and student culture.

I was wondering what I should start doing now to help boost my chances for when I apply in two years. Currently, my gpa is only 3.9 (weighted), and I’m only doing one EC Club and two sports (rowing and swimming). I’m taking AP World History and will be taking more APs next year.
Besides the obvious good SAT scores, getting a job, and increasing my GPA, does anyone have any advice as to how I should start preparing to apply to CMC? What type of applicants do they look for?

I’ve read a lot about it and I feel like I would really fit in there.

Thanks!

You will want to boost your GPA higher in order to be competitive for CMC. Look at the common data set for CMC which can show you average GPAs and test scores of admitted students.

IMO, CMC looks for government/business types, politically minded, a little more conservative probably.
