<p>I want to know my chances at getting into Cornell Engineering. Im hoping for a good interview, essays will be good-excellent?, and my recommendations will be very strong. btw, Im white and a male, which obviously changes my chances at admission. So help a brotha out. You dig?</p>

<p>Intended major: mechanical engineering, with a minor in robotics. Any responses would be greatly appreciated (and no sarcasm please!). My stats are below: </p>

<p>I go to a pretty competitive public high school in the burbs outside Hartford.
Unweighted GPA: 4.0 -enrolled in toughest courses available (AP and Honors) except for English (academic).
Class rank: 2 of 350
SAT Math: 780
SAT Verbal: 720 </p>

<p>yea, simsbury is a great school, borderline prep but still public. i think its ranked in the top ten high schools (or was it the middle or elementary school). anyways, i think piman has a great chance of getting in. piman might want to apply ED there</p>
