I'm a white male without a 2400/4.0-Am I gonna get pwned?

<p>Honestly, I'm not looking to go to an Ivy league school-but I'm still looking at well off universities. I'll try to make this short.</p>

<p>I'm white, a dude, and a junior in "the number 1" high school in the country (Northern VA)
(if you care - Best</a> High Schools: Gold Medal List - US News and World Report)
Applying to: UVA, William and Mary, V-tech, USC, Villanova, Vanderbilt, Penn state (Saftey), and American University (Safety). and hey maybe cornell i have legacy... (emphasis on the dot dot dots...)
GPA:3.7/3.9 (all honors and AP's, my school is known as having the most rigorous classes in the state)
SAT- 2200
ACT-34
6 total AP's through Senior year</p>

<p>EC:
- Eagle Scout and a brotherhood member of the Order of the Arrow
- Boys State
- HS baseball + basketball
- Presidential service award
- Presidential classroom for political science (1 UVA credit)
- Georgetown Program for international relations
- National Institute of American History at William and Mary (4 W&M credits)
- Sorenson Institute (4 UVA credits)
- Shoals Marine Laboratory (4 Cornell Credits)
- Relay for Life team captain and organizer (raised ~ 25,000 dollars over 3 years)
- Secretary and Treasurer of Technology Student Association
- VP of a student run Film Project
- I play the trumpet</p>

<p>So yeah, I'm not going to kid myself by applying to Yale- But i would be thrilled to go to UVA. I'm also in a bunch of other extra currics but I didn't include them because I don't hold a position of leadership.</p>

<p>What are my chances? Thanks! btw all of those programs i did over the summer and they included a very competitive application process (similar to applying to college).</p>

<p>I know your school. Your stats make you competitive. You have as much chance as anyone else, and that is all you can ask for.</p>

<p>Seriously, chill out. You can definitely get into UVA (My cousin goes there, URM w/ 4.0, OOS and was given a full ride). College isn’t THAT HARD to get into if you have the right stats (Except for the Ivy League).</p>

<p>Well, it’s not the best high school school in the country. It’s the best public high school in the country according to this ranking. There are plenty of private schools that are better.</p>
