I'm at a CCC, Is a D transferrable to a CSU?

Looking to apply and transfer from a CCC to San Jose State University for Fall 2015 as a Business major.
Lets say i met all the A-G requirements, but for Area C Arts and Humanities I received a D in the arts course, is the D still transferrable as long as I met one area in C1: Arts and one are in C2: Humanities? It says you need to complete a total of 9 units for these and have completed 3 units in Arts using literature and 3 units (spanish) in Humanities, but im not sure if the D (music) will count and transfer or do I need to retake it? Im not hoping to retake it because otherwise I wouldn't be able to apply and transfer in time just because of these 3 units in arts?

bump

…

Most school would only accept C or above for transfer credits.

So just because I don’t pass one class in arts I won’t be able to get in a school?

Sure sounds that way. You ought to check with a xfer counselor at your CCC to be sure there is no exception available for you. Also, why can’t you take another class in the Arts and Humanities in the year you have remaining before you would enter in Fall 2015?

Yeah, the reason I can’t take another arts in the semesters remaining it’s because my schedule is full, 15 units-16 units each semester. @mikemac
