I'm at an internship right now but I feel overwhelmed. I don't want to quit but...?

I have been in an engineering internship since May and it's supposed to run into the Fall. The thing is there is a lot going on in my life. My parents just decided they are separating and my dad is leaving the country for good in about a month. This is compounded with the fact I have depression, anxiety, and OCD. I'm also doing other engineering-related things outside my internship. I just feel really overwhelmed and depressed. Should I tell me boss, take a few days off, quit, etc.? I could not function at all at my internship today. What should I do? I could use some advice right now.

Take a few days off…

I think you should take a few days off. Just relax and do what you enjoy the most (watch t.v, read books, or visit a museum, etc.) This will help distract you from your problems.

Xin-Tell you boss you need to take a few days off for personal family problems.
Come back on Monday, ready to work.
Being at home will serve no purpose, you will just mope in your room.
You need this internship.
