<p>I disagree with Wilco. A Ghost Is Born, I feel, was one of the top albums of this year. The tracks are good especially the song Theologians. I would like to add Good Charlotte to the list though, what a bunch of philly sellouts.</p>
<p>no...im not saying that EVERYONE on that list sucks.......i LOVE LOVE LOVE wilco nad a bunch of other ppl on that list....the list is not saying who SUCKS....its just a starting ground for people to talk...</p>

<p>I'm also not really down with any of this new, lame screamo stuff. I've always liked Thursday-- they write great songs-- but I think that I've always liked them despite the background scream, not because of it. The insulting thing about bands like Story of the Year is that (besides having really bad music), it feels like they throw an unfitting scream into the end of every song just so they get put into the category. It's a waste of time listening to bands trying to be Thursday when they're doing a really bad job of it.</p>
<p>Relatedly, Three Days Grace is, without exception, the worst band of all time.</p>
<p>I haven't heard enough of some of those bands to judge, but of the ones I have, I like almost all of them. Sublime is awesome, Outkast is too--very original. I also like Eminem, although I suppose I can't really justify that one. But he's a good actor, he tries to make people ****ed, and he succeeds. Radiohead I really like. Green Day I think is too much of a classic to belong on a list like that. White Stripes? Modest Mouse? Please, these are two of my favorite bands. And I like Rufus Wainwright. Especially his song "Rebel Prince." As for bands that actually belong on that list? I don't know. I don't listen to music I don't like enough to identify it.</p>

<p>hmmm...Ashlee Simpson, Jessica Simpson, Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera (sensing a trend here?)...any pop weirdos, pretty much. I can't stand the monotony and computer synthesization of their music.</p>
<p>also, emo bands suck. a lot. bowling for soup, nickelback, dashboard confessional, train.</p>
<p>i'm really not a fan of rap either...this may sound prudish, but i find a good deal of it offensive...and I'm a fan of melody, which rap seldom has.</p>
<p>to end this positively, lol, i'm really more into retro sounds. I love love love the Police and any music from the 50's....Bob Dylan, Eagles, beatles, Bruce Springsteen, Joan osborne, marianne faithfull...adult contemporary is great.</p>
<p>that being said, celine dion sucks. mariah carey and whitney houston-- overrated.</p>
<p>also, i love listening to really old or classical music: Bach, Barber, Handel, Durufle, Debussy, Wagner...it's the choir dork in me.</p>
<p>but the Police may be my favorite band of all time.</p>

<p>okay i agree with everything you just said about who sucks. So there, that's who I think sucks too. Except I like some rap, just more unique rap since so much of the **** they play on the radio and MTV is all the same, monotonous, i-have-so-much-ice-and-so-many-hoes, stuff that makes me feel sad for humanity. That said, it's what I like to dance to at dances. And I discovered Dashboard Confessional during a very vulnerable, emo-y time, and like so many other angst-ridden teenagers convinced myself that every lyric of each song was the story of some aspect of my life. So Dashboard still holds a special place in my heart even though I'm over that. But yes! I feel the debussy!</p>
