I'm confused about UMs car policy?

I see that there is a ban for freshman living on campus having cars, but what about off campus commuter freshman? I live about 20-30 min away from campus so if I were able to live from home I can save 15k a year on boarding and meal plans. Does anyone know what the policy on cars is about off campus commuter freshmen?

Thanks

This is about the University of Miami btw

What county do you live in? I remember from an info. Session that you can commute if you are in miami, Dade or broward. I think you have to stay on campus if you are in Palm Beach County. Call tomorrow and confirm.

@4CookieMonster I live in Broward. I will be in the car for about 1hr 40 min each day in total but I’ll save nearly $15,000, I’ll think of it as a part time job lol. But yes I will call tomorrow and find out.

Let us know what they say.

A related question. I live in broward but will live on campus because I don’t want to spend 2 hours everyday in the car. Is there anywhere near campus I can park my car. I’ve heard myths/rumors from friends about bringing their car down freshman year.
