I'm going to be a freshmen this Winter, my plan is to get a B.A. first, since my University doesn't offer MBA for my major.

My question is, Business Schools say that after you get a B.A., you need to have a few years' experience (3-5 years) before joining thier program.

How's that posible for an international student? Am I supposed to go back to my country and work for a few years before joining the Business School? or is there a way to join a Business School directly after the B.A.?

C'mon, 21 views and not a single reply? This ain't a hard question, even. Anyone with any general knowledge about Business Schools could answer my question.

That's weird, on my scholarship regulations, it says that if I want to continue to MBA/MS (of course it's MBA in my case since I'm in a business major), I have to do it immediately after the BA, not more than a year inbetween... Hmmmmm....!

It is not actually a requirement that you have post-undergraduate work experience, but at most programs their average admitted student has about 5 years of work exp. They'll admit a few people without it, but they are usually superstar undergrads. A girl I know from college got accepted to the Anderson School of Management at UCLA without any work experience, but she had a 4.0 with a 760 GMAT.

If you don't have any work experience, not only are you at a disadvantage against the other applicants, but you'll also be a whole 5 years younger than the average MBA student, which could also be awkward.

You might want to see if your school has a 5 year program where you can get your bachelor's and your MBA in a combined 5 year program.
