I'm confused

Is there a special SUNY app you can use for all the SUNYs, or do you just use commonapp? Because Stony Brook has its own unique supplement.

There’s 2 ways of applying to Stony Brook - CommonApp and the app for SUNY schools. I applied to Stony Brook via CommonApp. The only extra form I needed to fill out was the supplement on the CommonApp. I’m not too sure about the SUNY app, but I think there is a supplement on that, too. But I am confident that if you choose to use the CommonApp, the you only need to fill out the CommonApp and the supplement on the CommonApp. Likewise if you choose the SUNY app.

Okay so I opened up a SUNY App, but it seems really short. Where do I report my test scores/GPA/EC’s…is this something I send in with commonapp?

The supporting documentation is sent directly to Stony Brook after submission of the SUNY Application.

If you’re doing the SUNY App, then submit the SUNY Supplement, which will become available once you do the regular part. That’s where you’ll include all of your supporting documentation.

Chris

ok…so once I finish the first part of the app, I can get access to the supplement. How do indicate if I’m interested in the Women in Science/Honors College programs?
