I'd really like my chances at these schools:

UCLA
UCB
UCSD
UCI
USC
UoP
Northwestern

Please reply to this post!!! Thank you so much!!

oh and please at UCD to that list! :)

3.8 is your WEIGHTED GPA??? I dunno about UC colleges too much, but i dont think that will cut it for northwestern. Sorry...

yeah dude I've got to go with stanfordkid2008 on this...

with those test scores and a weighted 3.8 GPA (which has to be somewhat magnified, with all your AP/honors classes and all), Northwestern may be a reach. by all means, you might as well give it a try though (since the UCs are all on the same app, it won't hurt to spend a little time trying for a school you like)

with those ECs though, it seems like you could get into some of those UCs on your list (again, I'm not too familiar with the california system so I'm not going to be able to tell you a lot of useful stuff). but to be honest, don't go holding your breath for UCB either

is there a reason why you're particularly interested in Northwestern, out of the non-west coast schools?

UCLA: Reach
UCB : Reach
UCSD : Slight Reach
UCI : Match
UCD: Match

I'm sure with a good essay you could get into San Diego. The essay is said to be 30% of your application so you could use that to push yourself up. But ya berk and la might be a little tough unless you raise your sat score or gpa I say sat score first because well your gpa is kinda in stone but you can change your sat score even though I must say it's already very good if you have any questions im me on aim my sn is watchwa ( :

What's your unweighted GPA?

my unweighted is about 3.5

UCLA: REJECT
UCB: REJECT
UCSD: Unlikely
UCI: In
USC: Unlikely
UoP: UPENN? REJECT
Northwestern: REJECT

UCLA: Reject
UCB: Reject
UCSD: Possible but don't get your hopes up
UCI: Probably in
UCD: Probably in

dude ur gpa is a bit low for la and berkeley, ucsd is fine especially with your above average scores, remember the ucs have some weird calculations for admission

UCLA: Reach
UCB: Reach
UCSD: Slight Reach
UCI: safety/low match
UCD: Low Match
USC: Reach
UoP: what is this?
Northwestern: High Reach

i think u could get into UCLA. my cousin's to-be roommate got in with 3.9 GPA (rounded to nearest tenth) and got 1960 on his SAT I. i dunno about his SAT II scores though. he also had no ECs. also, UCs only look at the average of soph and junior year. dont worry about UCLA. i would retake the SAT I and SAT II though
