haha i ineffect did... applied ED to duke and cornell would have been RD... cornell was somewhere in the middle of my list

Yea, well once you get here you'll realize that practically everyone turned down some combination of UPenn, Cornell, Darmouth, Brown, Columbia, Northwestern, UVA, and Wash U.

Haha, as snobby as that sounds theres a lot of truth to it. On the other hand I guess Duke is in that list for students at Harvard, Yale, and Princeton. Oh well, their loss.

"Oh well, their loss"

so true

prez brodhead said "if you choose to go somewhere else, we will wish you good luck, you dope", he meant it as a joke

I turned down Brown (man that was rough) and Johns Hopkins (that was easy).

I love Duke :)

Course you do!!!!!!! You turned down an ivy just like I had to turn down 2 ivies I absolutely adored.

Go Duke!!!!!!!!!!

Duke gave me more money than GA Tech.

easy choice.

My pfrosh just told me he's coming...and he's choosing Duke over Stanford, Brown, Dartmouth, Swarthmore, Tufts (w/scholarship), and Vandy (w/scholarship)!

wow

(10 characters)

I turned down WUSTL, Northwestern, Cornell (like everyone else), and a full ride to UW- Madison. IT WAS NOT A HARD DECISION AT ALL! Actually it was because financial stuff has been kicking my butt for the last month and a half. But it is all good now!

im not going to lie it was hard for me to turn down:

Cornell (w/ scholarship), Georgetown, full ride to Univ of MD, Williams (w/ scholarship), Yale (with scholarship) and WUSTL (with scholarship)

... but besides UMD, Duke gave me the most money

but its still awesome to be a blue devil

Amherst was the hardest for me to turn down...then Northwestern...then WUSTL, Georgetown, Tufts, and NYU (w/ scholarship).

I was actually ready to send my deposit into Amherst, and I just wanted to check out Duke to make sure I knew what I was giving up..once I stepped on the campus for my Blue Devil Day, there was no turning back...and now I can't wait until August!!
