I am going to school in SD, but my parents' resident is Maryland.

<p>You're going to high school in South Dakota?? I would think that should give you a slight edge at most schools. If you were applying to public schools in Maryland, I believe they would have to charge you the lower resident tuition, too.</p>
<p>If your parents are Maryland residents, you almost surely are too. Attending school in SD won't make a difference.</p>
