I'm I doing to much?..

My EFC = 0 because im legally considered to be homeless… I’ve already talked to admissions counslers at some colleges (i.e. Harvard, not saying ill get in but still) and they said turn in my fasfa in January and ill be eligebel for a 100% tuition, room and board, and a full meal plan… i know what im doing… now i just have to get in…

^
That sucks. I’m not homeless but my family has an EFC of 0 too. Yay poor people?

lol nice one aigiqinf

Aaron, yes you will get a full ride at HARVARD, but Harvard is one of the very few. Most schools will not give you a full ride with a 0 EFC.

What are your backup schools? I can guarentee you almost none of them meet full aid, therefore you will need scholarships.

Im not saying I wont, but im not going to focus on that, and in the end, if i dont get a full ride to the college a go to, i should get a significant amount, enough to cover with the scholarships i do get and the rest with student loans…

either way, im still applying for scholarships… and its not like i wont be able to find the time to do that…

Well, you might not with the load you are taking on. That is what I am trying to warn you of.

Trust me, I had a 0 EFC and still had to get nearly $60k in scholarships to cover my 4 years. It takes a lot more than you think.

But you can ignore my advice, I don’t care. Just know that you will probably not go somewhere that gives a free ride for 0 EFC and there isn’t that much federal help.

You dont get it, im not getting a full ride cause of the EFC… i doubt i would get a full ride, im getting it because i declared myself an independent under the McKinney-Vento Act, therefore when i do my fasfa, not only will EFC be 0, income will = 0…

and i will be able to find time… weekends are wonderful…
