I'd take an average campus in SoCal over an above average campus in Pennsylvania or Massachusetts any day!

Amherst College vs. California Baptist University
Northeastern vs. Antioch Unversity
MIT vs. ITT Technical Institue, Anaheim
Carnegie Mellon University vs. American InterContinental University
UPenn vs. California State Los Angeles

check out Georgetown too - fits your description pretty well

k thanks! I visited there and liked it but it seemed like a lot of the social life was off campus. Is that true?

It is true, because just look at where it's located. That's not to say there's no campus social life, but it's a bit harder to find than at other schools

yeahh and the Georgetown area is AWESOME... just not very affordable for a college student.

So is Wellseley Hills, but how many college students do you see shopping there? In Wellseley, you can tell who from out of town by the car, Lexus, Mercedes, Mercedes, BMW, oop Honda (out of town).

well what i meant is ... social life at georgetown is mostly off campus. but the surrounding, off-campus area is ridiculously expensive for a college student. conflict?

DevilMayCry is going to Duke, I think he's from Texas.

Shoegal, nothing meant to conflict, but it's just funny to me how everyone comments on Georgetown's shopping district when it is not an option for 90% of us.

ohh no i meant like perhaps a conflict arises in that off campus situation.

ummmm - I think Bucknell falls into the middle-of-nowhere farmville category, but it matches nearly everything else you mentioned.

macalaster, colby, maybe colgate, vassar, oberlin maybe

bucknell could possibly be too professional for you. I mean they only have engineering, but maybe you wouldn't like that, or maybe you don't care and i'm just rambling on for no good reason

What do you mean by they only have engineering?

i meant there only pre-professional/professional thing was engineering..sorry

No need for apology just clarification

You compared MIT to and ITT Tech branch? lol, that's definitely not average and above average................

What, too hard for ya :p

Okay, discard, ITT Tech, but you couldn't possibly win any of the other match ups:

Amherst College vs. California Baptist University

Carnegie Mellon University vs. American InterContinental University
UPenn vs. California State Los Angeles

Plus I said CAMPUSES, not the actual schools.......but it's OK
