<p>I met a lot of people at CMU that were learning because they were really interested in the material they were doing. My friends would also often stay up late discussion philosophy, literature, politics, and those sorts of things well into the night. I should also mention that they didn't just debate the typical kinds of things like that, but also the technical aspects of them. As in, politics with respect to science, politics within science itself, the philosophy of science, famous scientific pieces of literature, and those sorts of things. Something I'm sure you won't see at most humanities-based LACs.</p>
