Is your family here, or did you come to the US alone? What is your immigration status? How much can you pay each year for your education? All of those will affect your choice of 4-year college or university.

Talk with the Transfer Advisor at your community college. Find out if there are any articulation agreements with nearby colleges or universities for your major. You might be able to study accounting for two years where you are, and then transfer to a place where you can finish the last two years of classes.

Are you here on an education visa or do you have a green card? Are you in the US with a parent who is working here?

How much will your parents spend on college? Your status in this country and how much your parents will pay will largely determine where you should apply.

I have a green card.

I don’t know but now i’m taking financial aid

What is your FAFSA EFC? It sounds like it is low. If so, since you’re a transfer, it’s likely that the only schools that might give you enough aid are the NJ publics because the combo of fed and state aid might be enough.

Your current aid is enough because you’re attending a CC, but gov’t aid isn’t a lot, so your options will be more limited at universities.
