Im new to this college thing

i live in florida and i know i have FL pre paid (for tuition) and i have the Bright Futures acedemic one. i start classes on Aug.23 at my community college here at home but i was wondering if i wanna move up to like cocoa or orlando and go to school there when can i think about doing that? could i go in the spring semester? are there scholarships to help me live there since right now my only bills are my phone and insurance? where do i find such scholarships and are they available that fast? thanks for your help!

Very, very few scholarships are available for transfer students - especially for spring transfers.

What are your stats?

What is your EFC?

You might be better taking a gap year and reapplying for schools next year. Incoming freshmen are awarded the best scholarships.

where would i find my stats or my EFC? and whats a gap year? thanks for your help

Stats are your HS GPA, test scores, etc…

EFC = Expected Family Contribution. It is a bit of a misnomer, since it is really a number used for calculating federal aid eligibility. Schools also use it to calculate institutional aid, but most schools do not meet full need. Ex. An EFC of $0 does not mean you will pay nothing for college. There are online EFC estimators to help calculate EFC.

A gap year is a year off between HS and college.
