I've taken like 8 or 9 practice tests so far this summer and my score is hardly improving. I've been able to raise it by about 50 points from my first practice test to the ninth one. I've taken the SAT once already in March and I need my score to go up by at least 140 points. I've tried all the tips like going back to see why I've gotten questions wrong and understanding my mistakes. I've been working on vocab for critical reading. I do additional math practice questions. What am I doing wrong?

Well are you applying your newfound knowledge (now you know why some things are wrong) to the succeeding tests?

I"m definately applying strategies that tend to work for me but I still haven’t made any substancial improvements :(

It could be several things we just don’t know. I would suggest you go back to your “source” material.

Math: Grubers math workbook or only math section in the complete grubers guide
Writing: Silverturtle’s guide online should be perfect
CR: Rocket Review+ DH Vol 1 and vol 2.

If your not using those sources and struggling in those areas you may want to make sure your using these books. I don’t know what your scores are but be aware as you break 2000 it gets increasingly difficult to raise your scores. Some posters have taken as many as 50 exams to get a few hundred point increases from this point. Good luck.
