HELP ME!!! My Sat scores won't change

Hey I'm taking the SAT in october and no matter what I do my scores won't change. I have been using the princton review book and have finished it but my score have barely budged. I have a 670 in critical reading, a 510 in writing and a 530 in math. I am really freaking out here. I've been studying the SAT all summer and my scores have only go up 20 points. Am I just stupid?? Can someone please help me??

No, you’re not stupid!

How have you been testing your progress? Do you only use tests from the Princeton Review book? When I used my brother’s copy of it, I felt like my scores either didn’t change at all or actually went down. I’ve found quite a few mistakes in the Princeton Review book so I honestly don’t know how much I trust it.

If you can, why not try taking more practice tests from other books? There are also some practice tests online so you can take some of those. Otherwise, if you want to continue raising your scores, just keep doing math practice problems as well as improving your vocabulary.
The improvement will come!

Go to the SAT Preparation section. Look through Xiggi and SilverTurtle’s guides. Scores in the 500’s are not hard to raise at all if you’re studying efficiently.

There’s no one who has studied for the SAT that has not experienced this lull. It’s never a straight-forward increase. Just keep practicing and practicing and practicing, you WILL raise your score to where you want it, with time.

@MyRealName, what makes you think you can improve drastically in the 500s range? studies show even after prepatory courses, your SAT score for each subject will only increase by 10-20 points. great assumption you’re making there.
