I'm not sure about the future of my biology class?

My biology teacher has been let go and all of her biology classes have been cancelled this week. Next Monday we are getting assigned a new professor. The dean of the science department has sent us a few vague e-mails announcing all of this information, but everything is still very confusing.

It was only an amount of time before my professor was fired. The first few weeks of class were fine, but after that up to now class has been a complete disaster. I'm not sure if she's incompetent or just lazy. Our online homework, quizzes, and tests aren't on any of the material we learned in class, and as a result the entire class has either a D or F. I have a 65 at the moment, and I'm sad to say that's one of the highest grades. Most of the people in my class are Nursing majors, so this is really hurting them. It's the same story in her other sections. A lot of students have sent complaints to the dean about her, and we've found out that she has done this sort of thing before, but this time they're letting her go.

I need this class towards my degree, as well as everyone else in my class, so I can't withdraw or I'll be behind. I'm not sure what they're going to do about grades, since we only have six weeks left in the semester. It seems unfair to other classes for ours to start fresh or base our grades off of only six more weeks worth of material. Everything's a complete mess and I don't even think the dean knows how this is getting fixed.

Do you have an idea what they'll most likely do with grades?
