I'm not sure where to go!

I want to go onto a prestigious med school and not sure which undergrad school to go to. I've been accepted at Indiana University Bloomington, U of Chicago, Northwestern U, UCLA, UC Berkeley, and U of Wisconsin. Originally, I considered IU to be my safety school, but it has accepted me into the honor college, direct admit program for Biochem B.S., and given me practically a full scholarship. I doubt I'll get any money from the other schools. Also, I live in Indiana making IU really appealing. But, how important is the prestige of my undergrad university when applying for med school, especially if I want to go somewhere like Wash U, eventually?

if you want to go to a prestigous med school, where you get your undergraduate degree is not important. your primary concerns should be your college gpa and your mcat scores. a high gpa is actually more attainable at a lesser-known university than at a huge research institution, thereby increasing ur chances.

Can you send me a copy of your stats because I want to apply to the same schools, but I am unsure about my chances.

Don't worry about the prestige; Indiana is a great school. It sounds like they're bending over backwards for you- go and don't look back! :)

Jesus Christ! Prestige DOES NOT matter.
