I'm now the mom of a 2nd Lt!

I came on cc 5 years ago to start finding out about academies and ROTC. Last week I attended my son's graduation from Texas A&M and his commissioning into the AF. H is serving in Iraq with the Nat'l Guard and they arranged a video conference so that H could give S his oath of office that way. There were not many dry eyes in the house.

S is scheduled to report for active duty in November for pilot training. There is a backlog for flight school, so they are having them delay their report dates. Fortunately, the AF put them on medical coverage during this gap time. So, S finds himself with a degree, a commission, and putting in applications to be a juvenile corrections officer and a lifeguard. :)

timely,

Congratulations to your son and family! How wonderful that his father could administer the oath. Best to both of them.

Congratulations! You and your H deserve to be proud! Best Wishes to your son.
