I want to change my major to Business but am already taking 3 classes for my current major which is Family studies. I am currently taking 4 classes total but want to at least drop one of my family studies classes. How will this effect my financial aid? will they just take out how much that one class was? Or is it more to that? I got a pell grant, a subsidized loan, and a cal grant. I was full time last semester for Fall 2010 and used up all of my money and the other half for this Spring semester is still in my bank account. I still have a lot left and only spent it on books and my classes. I will be going full time in the future its only this semester that I want to drop a class. Would it be a good idea? or should I just stick it out? I just dont want to take too many classes for this family studies major, I would drop all three but that will totally take most of my financial aid and I dont want to do that. Any suggestions?

Check with your school’s financial aid department. It will tell you how many credits you need to continue to be eligible for all your financial aid.
