I'm planning to take a double major with biophysics and neuroscience. Is this a good idea?

I love neurology and biophysics to me is a mashup of my favorite fields. I want to do a PHD in exobiology afterwards. Assuming I can’t keep up with one, should I go for a minor in psychology or political science then? What can I do with bachelors degrees in these subjects? Do I have to do a masters in them too? Will I get a good job then? I want to be something akin to a chief technology officer; if that doesn’t pan out, I want to be a civilian scientist for the military.

As you can see, I want a lot of things (hahahah) but what is feasible? ~O)

A double major is not always the best path if it takes you an extra year. Since you want to get into a Ph.D. program, then focus on a single major that will prepare you for the kind of program and research you are interested in. Starting in biophysics is a good idea and then see what kind of minor courses you can take to move you into the neuroscience field. I know a number of neuroscientists who started form biophysics and even physics.

How do you know you “love” these fields if you don’t even have a clue what to do with them?
