<p>Don't really have a GPA system in my country nor do we rank students in my school.
But I have a sold transcript with a couple of aberrations. I had 9As in my GCE 'O' Levels if anyone knows what they are.
SAT I: Writing 790 Math 750 Critical 740
SAT II: Math II 800 Phy 680</p>

<p>Extra Curricular:</p>

<p>President of the Parliamentary Debating Society.
Over 2000+ hours put in in just 2009-2010
Won over 12 competitions, including the annual national tournament twice
Thrice named Best Speaker
Twice reserve for and this year, member of Pakistan Debating Team
Reached the quarters and was 3rd Best Speaker from a country with English as a Second Language
Executive member of the Model United Nations society
Declared Best Delegate at sole MUN attended
Chaired a MUN committee at MUN hosted by my school
Editor for college publications four years running, senior editor this year</p>

<p>Social Work:</p>

<p>Been a part of the local branch of the LIONS Club since 2005
Participated in relief efforts in the aftermath of 2005 earthquake in Kashmir, for over 4 months
Interned at an institute for the mentally disabled
Organized charity drives for two hospitals and aforementioned insititute</p>

<p>Sports:
Vice Captain of school swim team
2nd Best Swimmer two years running
Over 50 medals one at inter-school, inter-district and provincial meets
Captain of school water polo team
Won maiden competition, runners up in the only other one
Adjudged Best Player both times
Awarded school sports color for excellence in swimming and water polo
Hopeful for provincial water polo team for the summers</p>

<p>Given Gold Medal for being the Best Overall Leaving Student of my batch
Given Gold Medal for being the Best Leaving Student of my batch in extra-curriculars

<p>Okay. As you probably gathered, I am also an international applicant. Don't know what that does exactly to my chances. But anyway. I'd really appreciate it, if you guys could give me a scale of 1 to 5 on my chances, with 5 being a place with highest chances of admission. Thanks!</p>

<p>you really seem to have great activities. your sports and awards are impressive. if you really put in over 2000 hours that shows real dedication.</p>

<p>sats are solid though i suppose they don’t stand out at some of those schools you mentioned, maybe partly because math/reading are lower.</p>

<p>but overall your involvement outside of school should give you as strong a chance as anyone. good luck. chance me back ?</p>

<p>I’d say you have above average chances at these schools, but you’ve heard iffy news from two already, which worries me.</p>

<p>I will admit to having no idea as to what GCE ‘O’ Levels are but if your transcript is indeed solid then you should have a good chance at least at UPenn, and probably for a lot of the others as well. On the other hand, though, I agree with glassesarechic- if Yale deferred and Chicago waitlisted you, that is kind of worrying. Of course, it’s not an outright rejection, so you probably have a fair chance at some of the others. I think it’s possible you’ll end up being that friend that everyone here seems to have that got rejected by one Ivy League school but then got accepted by a better one…</p>

Here’s why I’m not so worried by the wait list and deferral.
UChicago is not need blind for international students and I’ve asked for a lot of financial aid, so I’m in a very very competitive pool. I’m happy with the wait list and am going to harass the admissions committee into taking me. :stuck_out_tongue:
As for Yale, they didn’t receive my SAT II scores as they weren’t released owing to a problem I had in my collegeboard registration.
