Thanks guys!!! will chance back!

McGill will depend on the program you are applying to. Their first round of admissions is very numbers-based, so check their website if your SATs and GPA match up. You should be good for the less competitive programs.

Boston University: Match
University of Conn: High Match (High match means a higher possibility of getting accepted).
Emory: Good Match
Cornell: Reach!
Northeastern University: High Match
John Hopkins: Low Match/Reach
SUNY Binghamton: High match, you’re most probably getting in
University of Virginia: Match
Don’t know much about McGill or University of Southern California
Best of luck to you!! Hope you get in everywhere you would like to go!

Here’s my view. You’ll need some safeties. As an international student, you don’t have any in-state affiliation and all those schools listed see much higher stats than yours. For reference, my son had 2290 SAT, outstanding ECs, and interviews very well didn’t get into some of these schools. You’re right to be scared if you only apply to these. Sorry. Just trying to be realistic.

Boston University - match/high match
University of Conn - match/high match
Emory- reach
Cornell - high reach
Northeastern University - high match
John Hopkins - high reach
SUNY Binghamton - high match
McGill - match (not as familiar)
University of Virginia - reach
University of Southern California - high match

Boston University - match
University of Conn - match
Emory- mid reach
Cornell - high reach
Northeastern - match
John Hopkins - high reach
SUNY Binghamton - match
University of Virginia - reach

Your GPA by itself isnt really good enough for some of the more top-tier schools you listed and your SAT is decent but not spectacular. The good recs should certainly help you out though, and your ECs are varied well between leadership roles and team-oriented positions.
