Pretty much everyone's heard about the AP pranks. When you write something in the essays and then cross it out because it can't hurt your score. When I was taking my WHAP test, I accidentally spaced out and wrote "Y" really big on my test. I took up 5 or 6 lines. Obviously, I tried as hard as I could to scribble it out. But I'm afraid that will make my test invalid. Will it? I'm freaking out because I did such a stupid thing.

That wouldn’t invalidate your score, no. I’m sure it’d get the AP graders to wonder “What was this person doing?” :P

Hahahaha don’t be.

Theres always next year, keep your notes. that Y will turn your 5 into a 1.
sucks2suck

^^ignore this person! I’m sure the “y” won’t matter at all, so don’t stress. Probably just woke the AP reader up, that’s all ;)

Weeknd is just trolling.

If you crossed it out, they can’t take points off

Trust me-- it won’t make a difference!!!

It wasn’t in the middle of my test though. It was at the end. There was a bunch of space left and it was HUGE. Someone told me that if you get one test invalidated, you can’t take anymore ever again. Is that true?

i thought my sarcasm was obvious. don’t worry it won’t matter

@4: No, you have to take it again next year they offered it. But don’t fret a crossed out Y won’t be counted against you. If anything that could be an assist for a 5.

If AP Readers break the rules and actually grade crossed out things I feel like beginning my AP lit essay with “In Stephanie Meyer’s iconic novel Twilight” and crossing it out would get me in trouble.

Don’t worry about it. And if it’s on a blank page without any actually content I’d be surprised if the AP reader saw it at all, and since it obviously isn’t part of the question anyways it couldn’t matter because which question would they count it against?
